The three vineyards (SANGIOVESE, MERLOT and CABERNET SAUVIGNON) are on a combination of Gravel Soil and Loamy Soil.
They all are Single Cordon, Cane Trellis, with a density of 1,613 Vines per Ha
3.10 mts Between Rows and 2.00 mts between vines.
Grapes are picked at different times during the season, as cold as possible and gently crushed. Fermentation is carried out in small temperature controlled stainless steel open fermenters.
Maceration lasts for 8 to 10 days. This is followed by malo-lactic fermentation and once completed, by oak matura- tion in French oak classic barriques.
colour Vibrant dark red with hints of violet.
nose Full fragrant red berry fruits.
palate Soft & velvet mouth feel, with ripe dark red berries, hints of strawberry & blackberries with very fine tannins.
Easy drinking with a finish that goes on & on & on!!!
The blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon is what in the World is known as the “Super Tuscan Blend”.
This is an excellent accompaniment to any pasta, chicken or white & red meat dishes, Mediterranean Style.
Can be served slightly chilled in Summer with any salads. A great wine as an apertif.
Serve at 18° - 20°C. or straight from the fridge in Summer
