\nThe Eagle Bay Series showcases the best wines that Wise Wine can produce.
\nThis small batched single vineyard wine is sourced from the Maschmedt vineyard on the Eastern side of the Wilyabrup sub-region. The selected fruit went to an open top fermenter for a long, gentle maceration on skins and then underwent 9 months maturation in a combination of new (50%) and 1 year old French oak barriques.
\nBright ruby red in colour, with a black/purple interior, this wine has a vibrant, perfumed nose of red cherry and blueberry, with hints of spice and white pepper. The new oak provides complexing notes of char, delicatessen meats and vanillin that will continue to develop with time. This is a medium weight wine made in the classic WA cool climate style.
\nEnjoy now with rare fillet steak, or cellar for up to 8 years to promote increased complexity and secondary oak development.
